Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has named Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Mamser as the new secretary to the state government (SSG).
This was contained in a statement signed by the state’s head of the civil service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila.
Until his appointment, Mamser was the immediate past commissioner of information, youth, sports and culture.
Similarly, the governor has appointed Senator Mustapha Makama Kiyawa as chief of staff.
Kila said the governor also approved the appointment of Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Garun Gabas as his principal private secretary (PPS).
Other appointees are Abdullahi S.G Shehu (accountant-general) and Dr. Habib Muhammad Ubale, executive secretary, Jigawa State Youth Empowerment/Employment Agency
In Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno has named the former chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Agency (UCDA) as the secretary to the state government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah.
Eno also appointed a former senior official of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Anietie Usen, as his senior special assistant (SSA) on media and retained Mr. Ekerete Udoh, the chief press secretary (CPS) to the immediate past Governor Udom Emmanuel in the same portfolio.
His Taraba State counterpart Agbu Kefas appointed Barr Gibon Kataps as the secretary to the state government (SSG) and Jeji Williams as chief of staff.
In a statement signed by the head of service, Mrs. Suzy Nathan, she said the two appointments took immediate effect.
She said, “The governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has approved the appointments of Chief G.T. Kataps as the new secretary to the state government (SSG) and Dr Jeji William, the chief of staff to the Taraba State governor. All the appointments are with immediate effect.
While Kataps served as SSG under the late former governor Danbaba Sunatai, William also served as permanent secretary Taraba Liaison Office (Danjuma House) Abuja.
