In a major development for Major League Soccer, Fabrizio Romano revealed on Monday that Antoine Griezmann has a verbal agreement to join Orlando City.
The French international is set to make a free transfer from Atlético Madrid, with the deal effective in July 2026.
This agreement follows a previously rejected offer for a March 2026 transfer.
Romano’s report indicates that the summer move is now finalized, with Griezmann expected to travel to the USA this week, a detail corroborated by Marca.
The transfer marks a significant coup for Orlando City, bringing a World Cup winner to the MLS.
