A group, the Nigerian Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative has commended the founder and chief executive officer of Ashmark Global Resources Limited, Ambassador Saheed Olatokunbo Akanmu, for his “contributions” to infrastructure development, enterprise growth and national progress.
The group said Akanmu’s interventions across key sectors have continued to strengthen Nigeria’s development drive and inspire young entrepreneurs nationwide.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the organisation’s national coordinator, Comrade Alabi Akeem Abiodun.
He said Akanmu’s contributions to humanity and national growth were “immeasurable”, noting that his impact in infrastructure and enterprise had distinguished him among his peers.
According to the statement, the business leader’s efforts earned him recognition as one of the Guardian Top 100 strategic CEOs of Nigeria’s most transformative companies in 2025.
Under his leadership, Ashmark Global Resources Limited has reportedly participated in major infrastructure projects, including the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, Lagos–Calabar Highway, Sokoto–Badagry Highway, and the Sagamu–Papalanto–Ilaro reinforced concrete road.
The company was also said to have contributed to energy infrastructure development, including CNG, PMS and AGO stations for firms such as Tetracore Energy Group, Obat Energy and others.
“Ambassador Akanmu’s contributions to construction, entrepreneurship and national development have previously earned him an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (DHL) and induction as an Associate Fellow of the British American Institute (UK),” the statement added.
He was also said to be actively involved in humanitarian services, youth empowerment, and nation-building initiatives, reflecting his belief in inclusive development and shared prosperity.
Meanwhile, Akanmu dedicated the recognition to Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, describing him as a leader whose empathy, infrastructural strides, and empowerment initiatives align with Akanmu’s philosophy of national development.
