In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja by the chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Sulaiman, the group described Kekere-Ekun’s reform initiatives as vital in addressing challenges faced by the judiciary and fostering a more robust legal framework that upholds the rule of law.

He lauded the CJN’s dedication to judicial independence and technological advancements, emphasizing that her reforms would help tackle key issues in the judiciary and improve legal processes.

The group highlighted her plans for reforming the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) and promoting the adoption of digital case management systems and e-filing platforms.

The group also commended Kekere-Ekun’s prioritization of comprehensive training programmes for judicial officers, court administrators, and law enforcement personnel to enhance their ability to utilize digital innovations effectively.

“Within a short period, she has introduced comprehensive training programs for key justice sector players, which is commendable,” he stated.

The group further urged the Chief Justice to implement effective case management systems, promote Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and establish specialised courts.

Additionally, the group advocated for transparent disciplinary processes and stringent anti-corruption measures to reposition the judiciary as the last hope of the common man.

“The genuine measures you have taken to restore and strengthen the judiciary have made significant strides toward achieving a more equitable and just legal system for all Nigerians.

“Your commitment to enhancing judicial efficiency and transparency is not only admirable but also crucial for restoring public confidence in the legal system,” he added.
