The Nigeria Female Youth Organization (NFYO) has praised Mr. Akintayo Adaralegbe, Chairman of T-Pumpy Concept, as a role model for young Nigerians, citing his contributions to youth empowerment and nation building.
NFYO president, Princess Mimi Peters, made the remarks at a press briefing ahead of the group’s upcoming event themed “Mentorship Gains to National Development.”
She said the event aims to encourage mentorship, particularly among young women, to help them avoid derailment.
“Mr. Akintayo is a leader to emulate. He has empowered many Nigerians and provided affordable housing, despite having no political interest,” she said.
Founded in 2010, T-Pumpy Concept has developed over 70 estates, sold more than 10,000 plots, and launched the Mega City project in Abuja, offering 5,000 housing units to middle- and low-income earners with FCDA Certificates of Occupancy. In 2023, T-Pumpy provided affordable housing for NSCDC officers with flexible payment plans.
Princess Mimi said such private-sector initiatives show how mentorship and ethical leadership can complement governmental efforts in national development.
She added that the upcoming mentorship-themed event will aim to foster a renewed national consciousness about the importance of guidance for young people.
“Nigeria is beginning to recognise that mentorship grows a nation. Our event will encourage young people to embrace mentorship as a way of life.
“When youths, especially young women, lack guidance, they easily derail. This programme is designed to redirect and support them,” she said.
NFYO urged public office holders to adopt the people-centred leadership style demonstrated by Mr Akintayo, stressing that private-sector leaders like him continue to bridge gaps in housing, youth engagement and community development.
The organisation said its forthcoming event will further highlight how mentorship, vision and ethical leadership can accelerate national progress.
