The City Boy Movement has commended President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for appointing Hon. Mas’ud Musa Bashar Ramaniyya as its Sokoto State director.
The appointment, approved by the group’s patron, Seyi Tinubu, was confirmed in a statement signed by the movement’s director-general, Hon. Oluwatosin Soga Francis.
Reacting to the development, the Sokoto State coordinator of the movement, Hajia Fatima Abubakar, hailed the choice, describing it as strategic and timely.
She said Bashar’s political experience and grassroots reach would strengthen the movement’s presence in the state.
“We are confident he will mobilise strong grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across Sokoto State,” Abubakar said.
She added that the new director had consistently demonstrated leadership capacity and commitment to public service, particularly in advancing development-oriented politics.
Bashar, the Managing Director of Aleena Petroleum, was a Sokoto State governorship aspirant in 2023 and contested for the House of Representatives seat in 2019.
He also served as Deputy Director of the PWD Mobilisation and Grassroots Engagement committees in the North-West during the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 election.
The appointment is expected to further position the City Boy Movement for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
