Association of Butchers and Livestock Sellers, Jigawa State chapter, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Malam Umar Namadi for a second term and launched a fundraising campaign for their nomination forms for the 2027 general election.

The group declared their support during an empowerment programme for the association’s members and the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers by the Jigawa State government in Dutse.

A prominent elder and chairman of the Butchers and Livestock Sellers Association Dr. Muhammad Maifulani Dutse declared their support while speaking during the occasion.

Dr. Maifulani also launched the fundraising with a personal donation of N1 million for the purchase of nomination forms for the president and the governor, calling on all good citizens to give their donations in appreciation of the sacrifices of the two leaders in promoting peace, progress and development in Nigeria.

He emphasized the need to start fundraising early so that well-meaning citizens can contribute according to their means before the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Maifulani described President Tinubu and Governor Namadi as exceptional leaders with clear blueprints for sustainable development.

He noted that within two years, the Tinubu administration has significantly improved Nigeria’s revenue generation, enhancing infrastructure and public services to drive growth.

“The ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda is making an impact, and we must all rally behind it to transform our country into a better place for all,” he said.

“In Jigawa State, the 12-point agenda of Governor Namadi has fast-tracked transformation in all aspects of human endeavour in the past two years. This includes the completion of 25 inherited road projects and the awarding of 42 new ones.

“Additionally, over 180 primary healthcare centres have been upgraded, more than 1,200 health workers employed, 6,000 teachers recruited, and 600,000 youths and women empowered through small and medium-scale business support. Agriculture has also received unprecedented attention.
