A political group, Concerned Rivers People (CRP), has expressed concern over an assemblage of opposition members masquerading as supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

The coordinator of CRP, Davidson Daniel in a statement on Friday, cautioned President Bola Tinubu and the entire leadership of the APC against the move.

Members of the former Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council in the 2023 general elections had on March 28, 2024, in a news conference, declared support for Tinubu while also backing Governor  Siminilayi Fubara.

Daniel said the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s “foot soldiers literally moved heaven and earth to ensure victory for PDP in February 2023 election but failed.

“We know them too well in Rivers and we know that the common strand that connects them all is what is generally referred to as stomach infrastructure in political terms.

“Mr Nyesom Wike’s political might and strategy towers above them, they have now come out to publicly pledge their non-existent support for Tinubu.

“Tinubu should beware of these men and their political or moral values which could be motivated by stomach infrastructure.”
