Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed confidence that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), will win the governorship election in the State overwhelmingly as it did during the presidential election.
He spoke at the Government House in Kano shortly after he returned from his Ganduje hometown where he cast his vote earlier on Saturday.
“I went and cast my votes in my country home and it was orderly where I voted. The voter turnout was impressive compared to the presidential election,” he said.
Ganduje also revealed that he was impressed by the presence of security operatives in strategic locations across the State.
He said he observed so many polling units where the voters were casting their votes in a peaceful manner.
