Gunmen Attack Activist’s House In Lekki

Unknown gunmen have attacked the founder of Nigeria Liberty Movement, a new political movement, Dr. Moses Adebisi also known as ThisDay Moses in his Lagos residential home at Adewale Falana Street in Lekki area of the state.

It was gathered that the attack by the gunmen on Friday last week resulted in the damage of property including CCTV, security wire, Prado Jeep, Toyota Hummer Bus, doors and other items estimated to be worth over N250 million.

It was further gathered that no casualty was recorded though properties were damaged.
Police operatives in Ikota Police Station have confirmed the incident and said they have swung into action.
Adebisi who corroborated the statement noted that the case has been reported at the Ikota Police Command Lagos and Police has begun an investigation into the matter.

Commenting on the attack, Adebisi disclosed “ There was no single person in the house at the time of the incident. The gateman said he wasn’t around when they came, that he went to the nearby prayer ground to pray”.

According to one of the eyewitnesses who pleaded anonymity, “The attackers dressed in military uniforms, came with three different cars, and distributed themselves around the house and when they could not get the occupants of the house, they started destroying properties such as cars, CCTV cameras. doors and then left”.

Adebisi further submitted that, “I am only rooted in the services to humanity, it’s not a sin to stand up for what is right in Nigeria. If this is a politically motivated attack, we would not stop to make the required changes for the country to move in the right direction.”

He called on the authority to carry out thorough investigation to unravel the motive and those behind the igneous attack and therefore, bring the culprit to book.
