The victims, Mr. Godwin Ogberahwe, Vice President of Mosogar Reform Youth Association, and Mr. Efe Oki, were murdered within a few hours of each other by individuals who have yet to be identified.

Former Senator, Chief Ighoyota Amori, while expressing condolences to the families of the victims, the youth body, and the people of Mosogar kingdom, stated that the news came to him as a rude shock.

According to him, it is sad that youths will take up guns and start hunting or murdering their fellow youths without having any feelings or remorse in our society, leading to a decrease in the value placed on human lives on a daily basis.

Condemning the unacceptable trend, he insisted that children must be called to order. “It is quite unfortunate, sad, and condemnable over the rate of senseless and gruesome murder of these two young, promising sons of Mosogar kingdom.

“I want to urge security agencies to rise to the expectations of securing lives and properties in order to prevent future occurrences.

“There must be a thorough investigation and the arrest of all those involved in the unsympathetic, merciless, and insensitive killings, bringing them to book to face the full wrath of the law.

“May God grant everyone the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May their gentle souls rest in peace,” he said.
