The African Continental Governor of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation, Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, has congratulated former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on his birthday.
In a statement on Tuesday, Guregi described Atiku as a “statesman of exceptional stature” and a “champion of democracy.”
He said the former vice-president had made significant contributions to Nigeria’s political development, education, and economic reform efforts.
According to him, Atiku’s investments in education had opened opportunities for thousands of young people across the country.
Guregi also hailed Atiku’s advocacy on economic growth, job creation and sustainable development, saying his efforts had shaped national discourse for decades.
He noted Atiku’s “inclusive leadership style” and his commitment to national unity, peace and democratic stability.
The WSDGO official said Atiku remained one of Africa’s most influential democratic voices, admired for his calm and strategic approach to public service.
Guregi prayed for continued health, wisdom and strength for Atiku as he marks a new year.
He added that the organisation would continue to identify with leaders who promote human development, peace and sustainable progress across the continent.
