To empower young women and foster economic independence, HACEY, with the support of Empower UK, has trained teenage girls aged 11 to 17 on various career skills in three communities in Ogun State.

The programme’s facilitator Mrs. Folakemi Shobanke, told newsmen in Lagos that the comprehensive training programme, held at the Magboro, Mowe and Ibafo, has provided participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to build successful careers and contribute positively to their communities.

She said the programme is a testament to HACEY’s commitment to improving the lives of young girls and women through education, health, and empowerment.

He added that with substantial backing from Empower UK, the initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty and dependence by equipping teenage girls with essential career skills.

‘’The programme’s curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including computer literacy, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal development, and leadership.
