Alhaji Suleiman Rabiu, the spokesperson for the Hausa Community in the 17 southern states of Nigeria, has charged Hausa Community members with continuing to promote peace with other ethnic groups in Nigeria.
Rabiu also charged them with supporting the reform programme embarked upon by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Alhaji Rabiu, who is also Seriki Hausa in Amuwo land, Lagos State, also advised the youths to desist from taking illicit drugs because the drugs will destroy their life.
He said this at a programme organised by Arewa Muslims at Kiri Kiri, in Amuwo Odofin, Local government area, Lagos State, to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed, just as he emphasised that the teachings of Prophet Mohammed centred on love and peace.
The Southern Hausa spokesperson’s speech was delivered in Hausa, and it was interpreted by Ahmed Danbatta, the secretary general of the Lagos State Council of Arewa Chiefs.
He said the Seriki charged members of the Hausa Community with living in peace with their neighbours and host communities.

According to him, the Seriki told the people to maintain peaceful coexistence in the community, strengthening the cordial relationship between the Arewa community and other tribes in Lagos State, not only in Amuwo but throughout Nigeria.

Speaking in the same vein, the commissioner for religious affairs and ethical orientation in Yobe State, Yusuf Umaru, who was a guest of honour, urged the Hausa Community always to promote peace and report any infringement or any suspicious movement that may disrupt the peace of the nation to the security agencies before the matter get out of hand.
