Speaking at the 9th Global Affordable Housing Conference in Washington DC. the executive director, HDAN, Barr. Festus Adebayo said, “we have read about how Governor Alia started his tenure with a groundbreaking of affordable housing projects in Makurdi”.

“This to us, is great news and we commend the governor for that initiative, we must say that this government will no doubt solve the problem of unemployment, and create job opportunities with the way he started with housing”.

Housing is a great provider of job opportunities, and it is the best way to attend to our youths in the area of employment, he added.

Adebayo, on behalf of the board of HDAN, commended Governor Alia for his housing-friendly agenda to Benue State.

“We will invite him to Africa International Housing Show AIHS 2023 in July, we also use Governor Alia’s housing stride initiative to encourage other governors who have just been sworn in to borrow a leaf and do the needful”.

Housing remains a key to solving unemployment issues in any state and any governor that wants to tackle unemployment must be housing friendly because when people are housed, the problem is reduced, he added.
