The collaboration hit ‘Egwu’ by the duo of singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka popularly known as ‘Chike’ and the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a.ka. Mohbad, has won the prestigious ‘Viewers’ Choice’ Award at the Headies Awards 2025.

The award ceremony, which was held on Sunday night at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, celebrated the power of music even beyond life.

‘Egwu,’ which became an instant anthem upon its release shortly after Mohbad’s death in 2023, has enjoyed massive commercial success, topping charts, inspiring dance challenges across social media.

The Viewers’ Choice Award, determined entirely by fan votes, is one of the most significant honours at the Headies 2025.
