Nigerian singer Lekan Osifeso Junior, popularly called Lojay, on Sunday night, secured the ‘Best Vocal Performance (Male)’ award for his track “Billions”, at the 17th Headies Awards held at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The non-voting category recognised the male artist with the most outstanding vocal performance on a single song or album during the year under review.

Lojay triumphed over a competitive field of nominees, including Omah Lay’s “Moving”, Johnny Drille’s “For You”, Timi Dakolo’s “Ke Na Ke So”, and Anendlessocean’s “Gratitude”.

The Headies Awards, known for celebrating excellence in the Nigerian music industry, returned to Nigeria this year after two editions in Atlanta, Georgia.

LEADERSHIP reports that the 2025 ceremony featured 31 categories, including ‘Artiste of the Year,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ and ‘Next Rated,’ highlighting the diversity and talent within the industry.
