BACKGROUND

I am Mrs. Gift Whyte Bright. I was born in Bida, Niger State, to the family of Mr. Omatsuli Taiwo Whyte and Mrs. Georgina Chinwe Whyte. My ancestral home is Warri, Delta State. I am the third child out of five children.

EDUCATION

I started and completed my primary education at New Creation Academy between 2000- 2006 after which I proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Staff School for my junior secondary school from 2007-2009. I however returned to New Creation Academy for my senior secondary school 2010-2012 and proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Bida 2014 for my National Diploma, and finally got my degree at the famous Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai., Niger State between

CAREER

I started ‘Everything Glossy’ with a makeup brand in 2015 (Glossy Makeover)

I opened our photography brand in 2019(Glossy studios)

Our Body Fix brand, started in 2020.

We opened a SPA, (Glossy luxury spa) and started a skincare brand (Glossy luxury skin) in 2021.

and Glossy Cosmetics, started in 2022.

My belief in women’s confidence, beauty and independence after childbirth in particular, keeps me going.

HOW I STARTED

As a young girl, I was very passionate about makeup. I didn’t learn it professionally. I learnt by just watching YouTube videos, practice on my face, make people up, as well as tie gele. I passion for this newfound profession grew and I was forced to move to Abuja to under study makeup. I had confidence in myself, withstood the challenges associated with.

In 2019, I deemed it fit to open a photography studio. This basically on my customer’s request. Yes, it became a trend as my customers would after having their makeup done, insist on taking pictures. Today, by the grace of God, Glossy studios with the help of God, can boast of an impressive staff strength with very impressive photographers that only snap the best of shots.

In 2020, I started Glossy Body Fix. After I got married in 2018, I felt the need to help women with low self-esteem and have lost confidence in their bodies due to childbearing and other circumstances relating to motherhood. This prompted my decision to start the production of natural products, to help women regain their confidence, products like flat tummy drink, infection flusher drink, weight loss and weight gain set, and many other Body Fix products.

In 2021, I established another branch of our SPA where we also sell skincare products. Again, in 2022, I opened Glossy Cosmetics. And this has reached another dimension and God has really been faithful.

MENTOR

Ebele Iyiegbu is my mentor (the wife of Obi Cubana). I love and look up to her because she’s hardworking. Look out it this way, she is married to a wealthy young guy yet, she is enterprising.  Above all her giving quality hits me hard.

INSPIRATION

The passion to bring about the beauty in others and helping them get established is my driving force.

FEARS

I don’t have fears.

CHALLENGES

The challenges as anti-people policies of government towards businesses, poor power supply, lack of training and inadequate funding

REGRETS

No regrets, rather, great achievements, higher than my expectations.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS

I deliver quality and top-notch services. Everyone knows that the brand “Glossy” is a is one to be reckoned with. My brand speaks quality.

PROJECTIONS

My projections are to be known worldwide, taking the brand “Everything Glossy “, worldwide, and owning a physical structure for the brand, as well as becoming one of the world’s richest women.

Love, Not Pressure: Why Your Partner Isn’t Your Provider Yet

I’m married to Mr Kusua Samuel Bright, and I have two lovely kids. My husband is very supportive. Everything has been easy. In fact, I do better now than when I was single because of all the whole support and understanding from him. Like basically, my husband makes things work for me, he makes everything easy, so it hasn’t been really difficult.

Both men and women are supposed to be concerned about raising their families while trying to excel in their careers.

As a human being trying to excel in my career while raising a family, I ensure ask for help where necessary from my husband , and delegate, as much as I can afford to my workers

ADVICE TO FELLOW WOMEN?

Don’t limit yourself, don’t give up on yourself, everything is achievable and possible but on condition that you believe in yourself and believe that hardwork pays

Just be passionate about success, your dreams, and keep pushing yourself for tangible result.

Do not give room for discouragement, be your own motivation. It is never too late to start the journey to your dream life. Don’t feel you don’t have time anymore, because of your family. Just start, and make sure to take daily steps to achieve your dreams, because it is little drops of water, that makes a mighty ocean. Above all, don’t stop working hard!

Don’t stop dreaming big!
