The lawmaker who disclosed this in a statement by his media aide, Fred Dagu, condemned the recent invasion of Udeku community, Mbaikyor council ward in Kwande local government area of Benue State and environs by armed herdsmen where over five farmers were murdered.
He said the recent attack claimed five farmers while scores of others sustained varying degrees of injuries with thousands displaced and taking refuge in the neighbouring communities.
The lawmaker called for better collaboration between stakeholders including security agencies, traditional rulers, policy makers and the government at all levels to end what he described as incessant unprovoked killings in the local government area and its environs.

Ugbor who expressed sadness that the people he represents are being killed senselessly, further implored security forces to move into the troubled communities immediately with the aim of stopping the killings, affirming his unwavering willingness to pursue through any lawful means within his constitutional authority to end the killings.

He declared the readiness to collaborate with security experts and stakeholders with ideas on the most effective approach to curb insecurity in the constituency and appealed to both the state and federal government to provide relief materials to assist those displaced and currently dispersed in their thousands without food and shelter.
The House member who admonished his people to exercise caution and remain vigilant as the attacks persist, pledged to continue to champion and advocate for their interest through relevant channels.
