In addition to the expanded mass wedding programme, Sheikh Daurawa disclosed the establishment of the Hisbah Academy in collaboration with local institutions such as Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano (YUMSUK), Aminu Kano College of Islamic Legal Studies, Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, and Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

He stressed that the academy which will offer formal education and training in Hisbah work will be awarding certificates to its graduates.

The Hisbah Academy aims to equip students with knowledge and skills relevant to Hisbah operations, furthering the board’s mission to maintain peace and order in Kano State.

Daurawa however did not mention the commencement date for the second phase of the mass wedding.
