History Remembers How An Administration Finishes”–Governor Bala

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has urged members of the State Executive Council and heads of government agencies to intensify efforts towards delivering on the administration’s mandate ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Governor gave the charge while addressing the State Executive Council in Bauchi, stressing that the increase in political activities ahead of the elections must not distract government officials from their responsibilities.

He said the administration still had several months left in its tenure, noting that the remaining period would require greater commitment, effective policy implementation, and accelerated service delivery.

Governor Bala directed relevant ministries and agencies to fast-track the completion of ongoing capital projects, particularly in road construction, healthcare, education, and agriculture, warning against bureaucratic delays and a lackadaisical attitude.

He also called for strict compliance with public procurement laws, financial and store regulations, and accountability standards, saying his administration was determined to leave behind a legacy of transparency and responsible governance.

On security, the Governor commended the collaboration between the state government and security agencies, which he said had contributed to the restoration of peace in communities. He assured the agencies of continued government support through the provision of operational vehicles, fuel and other logistics, while warning against political thuggery, violence and any action capable of threatening the state’s peace.

Governor Bala further urged commissioners and heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to remain impartial and committed to the My Bauchi Project agenda, stressing that the true legacy of an administration is determined by its achievements and contributions to the lives of the people.
