Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Rotimi Salami, has opened up about a frightening 48-hour health emergency that left him hospitalised.

Sharing the news with his fans on Instagram, the actor posted a photo of himself on a hospital bed. He expressed deep gratitude to God for saving his life, stating that the last two days were a battle for survival.

Salami admitted that his health crisis was caused by extreme stress. He revealed that he had pushed his body too far while promoting his latest movie, titled Kilanko. According to the filmmaker, the project was physically and mentally draining, which eventually caused his body to break down.

“I am not the type to say ‘the devil is a liar’ because I truly stressed this body myself,” he wrote. He added that while the movie has taken a lot from him, he remains thankful for his recovery and for the film’s success so far.
