HYPPADEC Proposes Medium Term Strategic Plan In Kebbi

The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has set out a medium-term strategic action plan (HMTSP) for 2022 to 2027 to meet the needs of the target-communities.

Chairman of HYPPADEC governing council, Barr Joseph Terfa Ityav, disclosed this yesterday during a one-day stakeholders’ meeting on the proposed action plan held at the presidential lodge in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the medium-term plan would assist the forum in meeting the objectives of HYPPADEC for the benefiting communities in Kebbi.

He assured the forum that HYPPADEC would continue to engage stakeholders in various communities where it operates to meet the yearnings of people in various communities in the state.

Managing director of HYPPADEC, Abubakr Sadiq Yelwa, commended the Kebbi State government, local government areas and traditional rulers for their support to the commission which he noted had made their work easier in the state.

Yelwa added that HYPPADEC would support communities in the six catchment states in the areas of health, education, security and water supply.

“We are also going to provide diagnostics equipment, eco-scanning facilities, optical dental facilities in some of the general hospitals in the four emirate councils in Kebbi State,” Yelwa said.
