I Wept For My Daughter During Her Rough Moment In BBN, Says Ilebaye’s Father

Indeed success has many children and the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Star Edition, Ilebaye Promise Odiniya is in celebration mood, having brazed the odds among twenty housemates cum contestants

winning the just conclude reality show.

Ilebaye who is twenty-two years old and hails from Kogi State, is a proud owner of a hundred and twenty million naira prize, which was announced and handed over to her at the presentation ceremony on Monday. The ‘Gen Z Baddie’ (her nickname and outfit) also was given a brand new Innoson SUV car in a posh ceremony that had in attendance other housemates of the BBNaija All -Stars.

Ilebaye who was in high spirits with her family, elder sister, mum and Dad, promised to make good use of the prize money and make a good brand ambassador of what the reality show stands for.

Her father, Hon Godwin Emmanuel Odiniya who had an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP, said Ilebaye who is his fourth child in a family of eight, had worked for the victory, having lost in the Level Up edition in the third week.

Speaking further on how happy he is for her, the ex-local council chairman from Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State, said, ” I am the happiest man right now. Ilebaye is my daughter and we had always supported her initiatives and guided her to put God first as He knows all things.

When she lost out in the first BBNAIJA show, I’m the third week, we encouraged her to brace up as more opportunities will come. I wept for Ilebaye when things were not going well for her in this All Stars Edition and just believed she has what it takes as a goal-getter.

Odiniya who is based in Abuja and said, “Do you know that the name of Ilebaye spoke for her and made her win. We are Igalas and I gave my children special names- Ilebaye means ‘The World Works Wonders’ and now she has brought wonders to our family as the Atta of Igala, HRM Matthew Opaluwa, is waiting to receive her.”

Meanwhile, MultChoice Director for Contents, West Africa, Dr. Busola Tejumola, revealed that MultChoice committed a total of N5.5 billion investment into this year’s TV reality show project to cover several costs.

“This year, we have backed this investment up with a total investment of N5.5 billion – covering the costs of production, construction and fittings, technical licensing, satellite and marketing. The production of the show had a direct impact of over 2000 individauls employed to bring the project to life.

“This year, Biggieverse was opened as Big Brother invited into the favourite All-Stars 20 games players. 4 house guests, 9 jury members and 12 Wager Task Judges and THE PARROT, who all together delivered a riveting show that kept viewers entertained for 71 days. I want to thank our corporate and media partners for keeping faith with the BbNaija reality shows over the years,” says Tejumola.

 

She also congratulated the ‘Gen Z Baddie’ Ilebaye for emerging the winner of the Big Brother Naija All-Star Season adding that her “creative game delivered this win to you.” Tejumola maintained that her organization complement in creating opportunities for the growth of youth in their quest to build great futures.
