Ibom Air Engages Tour Operators On Improved Revenue Potential, Connectivity

Ibom Air airline, on Monday, announced that it engaged with members of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), to enhance tourism potential and connectivity across Nigeria.

In a press statement by the airline, the director Airline Services at Ibom Air, Amaka Echetabu, speaking during their National Conference and Annual General Meeting, titled, ‘Tourism as a catalyst for progress, peace, and partnership,’ reiterated Ibom Air’s commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships with tour operators for mutual benefit.

She emphasised the pivotal role of synergy between airlines and tour operators, highlighting that such relationships are critical for enhancing tourism potential and connectivity across Nigeria.

“The relationship between airlines and tour operators cannot be overemphasised,” stated Echetabu, underscoring Ibom Air’s strategic initiatives aimed at supporting the growth of Nigeria’s tourism sector through engaging with tour operators.

The interaction at the NATOP conference was marked by constructive dialogue, underscoring the productive nature of the engagement between Ibom Air and tour operators nationwide. The interaction concluded with a renewed commitment from Ibom Air to NATOP to continue working together towards achieving mutual sustainable growth and development in the tourism sector, a budding and highly viable contributor to the nation’s economy.

Meanwhile, the chief pilot, Ibom Air, Capt. Ruth Adebanwo, at the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Africa Festival (STEM Africa Fest), encouraged young enthusiasts and professionals in STEM fields to strive for excellence in their chosen paths

Addressing a diverse audience of young enthusiasts and professionals in STEM fields, Captain Adebanwo, cited the importance of family support in nurturing young careers, emphasising that a supportive environment plays a crucial role in personal and professional growth.

Captain Adebanwo challenged stereotypes, urging attendees to break away from outdated beliefs that certain professions are exclusively for specific genders. She highlighted the importance of inclusivity and diversity in STEM, emphasising that everyone, regardless of gender, should pursue their passions without limitations.

The STEM Fest provided a platform for interactions, workshops, and exhibitions to foster innovation and creativity among young people interested in STEM disciplines.
