The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation chapter Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has promised a robust empowerment programme for youths, especially young graduates in the profession to allow progression in their chosen careers.

The new chairman of ICAN in the chapter, Mrs Rita O Okolie, made the promise after her investiture, and the inauguration of the executive committee members of ICAN-OAGF chapter.

Okolie promised that her administration would prioritise capacity building for members as well as for youth corps members serving with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
The new chairman said her tenure would celebrate diversity and promote equal opportunities for all, where every member feels valued, heard and integral to the association’s collective success.

“We will create an environment where collaboration thrives, and every voice contributes to our shared goals, and together, we shall embark on this journey of inclusiveness, growth and excellence,” she said.
Earlier, the outgoing chairman of the association, Dako Abeje Joshua, had enumerated the association’s achievements in the last year, including increased membership enrolment.
