IGP Orders Deployment Of AIG Mba To Lagos, Others

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba, has ordered the posting/deployment of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Frank Mba, to FCID Annex Lagos.

The IGP has also deployed 20 other new AIGs to various departments, commands, and formations in line with his manpower development policy of fitting the right persons into appropriate roles.

Other deployments were Zone 14 Katsina, which will be headed by AIG Ahmed Abdulrahman; AIG Police Mobile Force is now AIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje; Special Protection Unit will be headed by AIG Matthew Akinyosola; Zone 12 Bauchi is to be headed by AIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi.

Others are Maritime Lagos is to be headed by AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku; Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia is now headed by AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh; Zone 7 Abuja will be led by AIG Aliyu Garba; ICT FHQ Abuja is now headed by AIG Idris Dabban Dauda; Research & Development is AIG Yusuf Ahmed Usman; Zone 4 Makurdi is AIG Haladu M. Ros-Amson; Zone 8 Lokoja is AIG Babatunde B. Ishola; Counter Terrorism Unit is AIG Alexander N. Wannang; Zone 2 Lagos is AIG Ari M. Ali; Zone 9 Umuahia is AIG Mamman Sanda Umar.

Former Commissioner of Police, FCT, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, is now the new Commandant, Police Academy, Wudil; Zone 16 Yenagoa is AIG Benjamin N. Okolo; DTD FHQ Abuja is AIG Oyediran A. Oyeyemi; FCID Annex Kaduna is AIG Babaji Sunday; Zone 5 Benin City is AIG Arungwa Nwazue Udo and Force Transport Officer is now AIG Yusuf Usman.

Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the IGP has charged all newly posted and redeployed officers to put their best foot forward in ensuring that the activities of their new commands, formations, and departments align with the Police Reform mandate.

He also tasked them to ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He added that the postings are with immediate effect.
