I’ll Revive Textile Industries If Elected Governor, Says PRP Guber Candidate

The Kaduna State Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Hayatuddeen Lawal Makarfi has assured that he will revive the textile industries in the state if he becomes governor in 2023.

The governorship hopeful who spoke on Thursday during an interactive session with Reporters at the secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State council also promised to create jobs for the youth in the State.

Makarfi, who also unveiled his 3-point agenda, said: “we want to have an agenda that is sustainable”.

He said his 3-point agenda include; social justice, economy and human capital development.

“PRP will rekindle the hope of people of Kaduna State, currently their hope is lost. Kaduna is more divided now than ever before”.

“Mistrust among citizenry led to insecurity in the state, the level of disunity has never been bad like this before. A situation where one part of the state dominated the other will be a thing of the past if we come to power. Poverty also contributed to insecurity. We will do everything humanly possible to arrest the situation.

“Unemployment is alarming in the state. We have to do everything humanly possible to arrest the situation. Many civil servants were sacked without benefits being paid.

“We are going to turn around the fortunes of Kaduna. Today the future of the world is on Information Communication Technology (ICT), we want our people to be part of this drive.

“The welfare system in the State is very poor, we will ensure everyone can afford the necessities of life. We are committed to reversing the economy of the State.

The deputy governorship candidate, Ashidi Manassel Maman said that their campaign is going to be issue-based.
