The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has alerted Nigerians about Illiteracy disease, warning that it is contagious and could land one to prison.

The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) disclosed this in a cryptic post on his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.

ACP Adejobi wrote: “Illiteracy is a contagious disease and a big problem. It can lead one into jail, if not well managed.”

The Police image-maker, however, did not elaborate on the message, a development that made netizens pounce on him by accusing the Police Force of plan to carry out illegal arrest of citizens and stifle public opinion, among other anti-democratic actions.

LEADERSHIP recalls that ACP Adejobi and some activists, including Owoyele Sowore and Barrister Deji Adeyanju, recently engaged themselves in a social media war with the FPRO and the duo throwing veiled tantrums against each other through cryptic posts on their social media handles.
