Veteran Nollywood comic actor Wale Akorede, popularly known as Okunnu, has renewed his public dispute with movie marketer Olasco Films over an alleged unpaid debt linked to a film project from over a decade ago.
Okunnu had earlier accused the marketer of failing to compensate him for a movie he said he produced, directed and headlined. Speaking during an appearance on the SAWORO programme with media personality Olugbenga Oropo Valentine, the actor described the unpaid earnings as his “sweat,” claiming he never received any share from the proceeds generated by the project.
Responding to the allegation, Olasco Films dismissed the claims and labelled Okunnu an ingrate. In a separate interview, he insisted he had paid the actor ₦2 million to produce the film, noting that production costs at the time ranged from ₦700,000 to ₦1 million.
The back-and-forth escalated after Okunnu responded in the comments on the interviewer’s Instagram page, warning that his long silence on the matter was coming to an end. “I’m still coming for you in a BIG way. My silence for 16 years is coming soon,” he wrote.
