There was anxiety in Umuezeala Nsu autonomous community in Ehime Mbano local government area of Imo State yesterday as youths of the community in their large numbers stormed the house of one Ifeanyi Osuji over the mysterious death of Amarachi Iwunze in his house on Sunday.
The 14-year-old girl was on Sunday night, allegedly hypnotized and raped to death by one Ifeanyi Osuji, a 22-year-old suspected internet fraudster, popularly called ‘Yahoo boy’ in Agbahara-Nsu community in the Ehime Mbano local government area.
It was gathered that the victim, identified as Amarachi Iwunze, was invited over by one Ifeanyi Osuji a native of the same community on Saturday.
Narrating the incident, a source from the community who pleaded anonymity, stated that the victim’s corpse was discovered in the suspect’s room on Sunday by the suspect’s mother.
According to him, “Little Amarachi Iwunze from Umuduruewuru, Umuezeala Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State was raped to death on Sunday, by one Ifeanyi Osuji a suspected Yahoo Plus boy/ritualist from Agbaghara Nsu Autonomous Community in Ehime Mbano LGA Area of the state.
“The ugly news came late hours of yesterday, when the mother of the suspect unlocked a room and found the dead body of little Amarachi lying lifeless, on raising alarm , it was discovered that Ifeanyi Osuji his son is the suspect and the killer.
“When Ifeanyi Osuji found out that people are now aware of his ugly act he took to his heels to unknown destination till this very moment he is wanted.”
Youths of the community who were angered by the ugly incident staged protest in the community and set ablaze the house of the suspected internet fraudster.
However, the remains of the victim were found in the suspect’s room in the house which had a gate and fence.
When contacted, the police public relations officer, Michael Abattam, confirmed the incident and stressed that investigation had commenced and the command will go after the suspect, so as to bring him to face the law.
