In statement he personally signed and made available to journalists from his Finland base, Chief Okere said the number of people appointed from Ngor Okpala is a demonstration of Uzodimma’s love for Ndi Ngor Okpala, adding that the governor is ready to do more for the local government.
He noted that this is the first time a good number of persons from Ngor Okpala are serving in government since the creation of Imo State in 1976 followed by the government of former governor Ikedi Ohakim.
He however admonished those who are yet to benefit from the shared prosperity government to exercise patience as it will go round if not now definitely later.
His words: “I am aware that most of us are optimistic and longing to serve in one position or the other in the shared prosperity government of Most Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. My advice is for us to be patience and believe in the system with the hope that it will go round as the governor is mindful of all the people who are working for him and he will not disappoint them at the end.”
He expressed happiness that through Uzodimma’s administration, Ngor Okpala as a local government area is enjoying the dividends of democracy unlike before. He however, urged the appointees and Ndi Ngor Okpala generally to rally around Governor Uzodmma and support him by voting for him again come November 11, 2023 governorship election.
According to him, with signature projects recorded so far and the people-oriented programmes he has earmarked for the development of the state, Ngor Okpala people will vote for his mandate renewal.
The Finland based die hard supporter of Hope Uzodimma who declared support for Uzodimma’s governorship ambition in 2019 when it was not fashionable to do so through the organisation that he founded and coordinates known as, Imo Diaspora Support For Governor Hope Uzodimma, called on the people of Ngor Okpala to continue to support governor Uzodimma in the onerous task of creating a new Imo that will work for everyone respective of party affiliations and other mundane reasons.
It would be recalled that over 217 people were inaugurated and sworn in as special advisers recently by Imo State deputy governor Prof Placid Njoku who represented governor Uzodimma and charged with the task of contributing their quota to the good governance of the state.
