In a letter dated June 27, 2025, and signed by the Commission’s Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, INEC confirmed that the application submitted by ADA’s Protem National Chairman on June 19, 2025, was under consideration.

INEC

“The Commission is processing your application in line with the provision of Part 1, clause 2(ii) of our Regulations and Guidelines for Political Parties, 2022,” the letter stated.

The Commission concluded its letter by assuring the applicants of its highest regards, a standard but formal indication that the application will be given due consideration.

LEADERSHIP reports that INEC had within the week disclosed that it received 110 applications seeking registration as political parties.
