The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the commencement of online accreditation for media organisations intending to cover the bye-elections scheduled to hold across six states on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

In a notice issued by the commission, INEC said the accreditation exercise is currently ongoing and urged interested media organisations to complete their applications within the stipulated period.

The electoral body warned that late applications would not be entertained.

The affected elections include the Dawaki Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency bye-election in Kano State, Zuru State Constituency bye-election in Kebbi State, Ondo South Senatorial District bye-election in Ondo State, Rivers South East Senatorial District bye-election in Rivers State, Nasarawa North Senatorial District bye-election in Nasarawa State, and Enugu North Senatorial District bye-election in Enugu State.

INEC directed applicants to process their accreditation through its dedicated online portal.
