The director of research, evaluation and learning (DRE&L), Crest Research and Development Institute (CRADI) Christian Adanu, has stated that to ensure
the development of the educational sector, research and collaboration with development partners is essential strategy to actualising the feat.

Speaking with newsmen in Jos the Plateau State capital, on the need for educational advancement to tackle the ills in the society Adanu stressed that the institute advances partnerships in order to advance the education system.

According to him, such recent partnership is being worked out with Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University (formerly Benue State University), upon which they paid a high-level courtesy visit to the newly inaugurated Vice Chancellor of the university last week, Professor Timothy Terseer Alabar.

He explained that the institute is a pan-African, non-profit organisation advancing sustainable development through research, capacity strengthening, partnership and developmental aid, adding that they currently have projects being implemented across Plateau and Benue States, which was designed from research and adapted into practical programming.

On the proposed partnership with Rev. Fr. Adasu University, Adanu revealed that CRADI would create pathways for joint research, evidence generation, and policy engagement, while also opening opportunities for students to gain real-life exposure through internships and practical learning experiences.

He cited similar partnership they had with the University of Jos, where CRADI supported the development of a five-year strategic plan for the Faculty of Arts, noting that similar collaboration could strengthen institutional performance, relevance, and visibility in Benue.

According to him, Professor Alabar expressed strong enthusiasm and willingness to partner with CRADI, and assured them that the proposed MoU would be processed and signed upon review and ratification by the university’s legal department.
