XE Jet has announced a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), becoming the official aviation partner for Nigeria’s Senior Women’s National Basketball Team, D’Tigress.
This agreement represents one of the most significant aviation partnerships in African basketball. It highlights a shared commitment to supporting the continued global ascent of Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, Africa’s most successful women’s basketball programme.
Through this collaboration, XE Jet will provide dedicated aviation and travel logistics support for D’Tigress, ensuring the team travels with the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and comfort as they represent Nigeria on the international stage.
The announcement comes as D’Tigress prepare to compete in the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers, taking place in Lyon, France, from 11–17 March 2026. Here, Nigeria will once again showcase its excellence in women’s basketball to a global audience.
Commenting on the partnership, the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Musa Kida, described the agreement as a significant step in strengthening the commercial and operational foundations of Nigerian basketball.
“D’Tigress have consistently demonstrated excellence and resilience on the global stage. This partnership with XE Jet reflects the growing confidence of corporate partners in Nigerian basketball and reinforces our commitment to providing our athletes with the support they need to succeed internationally.”

“XE Jet is honoured to stand alongside D’Tigress as they continue to inspire millions of Nigerians and represent the country with distinction across the world. We believe strongly in the power of sport to elevate national pride, empower women, and create opportunities for future generations.”
Over the past decade, D’Tigress have established themselves as the dominant force in African women’s basketball, securing multiple continental titles and consistently competing among the world’s elite teams.
To mark this partnership and celebrate Nigerian excellence in women’s sport, XE Jet will host a Women in Sports Leadership Reception in Lyon during the World Cup Qualifiers.
This exclusive gathering will convene distinguished leaders from sport, diplomacy, and business to support the advancement of women’s basketball and deepen international collaboration around African sport.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation remains committed to building strong commercial partnerships that strengthen the sport’s ecosystem, support athlete development, and position Nigeria as a global leader in basketball.
