The Institute of Leadership Assessment And Development Nigeria (ILAD) has commended the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa’s transformational Armed Forces leadership and called on stakeholders and citizens to support the military.
The Director General of the Institute, Dr. Baba R. Adamu, said in a statement that General Musa’s exceptional leadership, steadfast dedication, and visionary approach have redefined the role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and fostering peace.
He added that General Musa’s tenure as Chief of Defence Staff has marked significant strides in fortifying Nigeria’s defence and enhancing national security.
“General Christopher G. Musa’s exceptional leadership, steadfast dedication, and visionary approach have redefined the role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and fostering peace. His achievements, including successfully hosting the All Africa Military Games, underscore his commitment to advancing national and regional security.”
Adamu said General Musa has demonstrated exceptional leadership in reinforcing the nation’s defence posture since his appointment.
“Under his command, the Armed Forces of Nigeria have intensified joint military operations to counter-insurgency, terrorism, and other security threats. His strategic vision has led to a marked decrease in the activities of terrorist groups in the North-East, North-West, and South-East, restoring peace and security to previously affected communities,” he said.
According to the statement, General Musa’s tenure has been defined by implementing cutting-edge military operations that safeguard national sovereignty.
“His dedication to fostering synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force has resulted in more effective and coordinated responses. Noteworthy initiatives such as Operation Safe Haven and the revitalisation of Operation Hadin Kai have been pivotal in weakening enemy capabilities and protecting civilian lives and property,” he said.
