The Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development Nigeria (ILAD) plans to host a training summit for fellows and other certifications at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The summit, themed: “Building Capable Leaders and Competent Managers for Businesses,” will attract senior executives, business leaders, chief executives, founders, public sector managers, policymakers, and professionals from across Nigeria’s public and private sectors, making it one of the most significant leadership gatherings in the country this year.

In a major development that underscores ILAD’s growing international profile, the Institute has also unveiled its ILAD Global Certification Programme — a comprehensive international professional certification framework designed to recognise and advance the careers of leaders, executives, and professionals across Africa and beyond.

“Over the years, ILAD has established itself as a leading institution for leadership assessment, development, and recognition in Nigeria and across the African continent. With a mandate focused on nurturing capable leaders, the Institute’s programmes are tailored to bridge the persistent gap between leadership potential and leadership performance — a challenge widely seen as limiting organisational growth and public sector effectiveness across the region.”

The simultaneous launch of the Global Certification Programme alongside the May summit marks a significant milestone in ILAD’s institutional growth, positioning globally recognised credentials within reach of professionals across sectors and backgrounds.

The summit programme is built around three major pillars Capacity Building, Executive Leadership, and Strategic Management forming a robust curriculum aimed at equipping participants with the skills needed to navigate complexity, manage teams effectively, and deliver measurable results in their organisations and sectors.

“Sessions will be facilitated by experienced leadership experts and practitioners drawn from both the public and private sectors in Nigeria and internationally.”

A key highlight of the summit will be the conferment of prestigious credentials on qualified participants. Attendees who meet the programme requirements will receive Fellowship Certificates and other professional certifications in recognition of their commitment to leadership excellence and continuous professional development.

The certifications place recipients within ILAD’s growing global network of distinguished African leaders and managers who have undergone formal assessment and demonstrated competence in leadership and governance.

Beyond the summit, ILAD’s newly unveiled International Professional Certification Structure is being described as one of the most ambitious credentialing frameworks to emerge from an African leadership institution.

The programme is organised into seven major professional clusters covering critical areas of leadership, governance, business, public administration, communication, and organisational developm

The programme is open to executives and professionals, government officials, entrepreneurs, business owners, academics, and consultants. Applicants may register for single certifications or multiple certifications through ILAD’s Premium Upgrade pathway.

All certifications confer globally recognised post-nominal titles and grant access to ILAD’s elite professional network — a community committed to excellence, integrity, and transformational leadership.
