Institute To Unveil African Leadership Hall Of Fame

The Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development of Nigeria (ILAD) is set to induct a select group of distinguished Nigerians into the African Leadership Hall of Fame as part of activities marking its 2026 Leadership Summit in Lagos.

The summit, scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, will be held at the Landmark Hotel Boulevard and Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event is expected to attract prominent leaders, professionals, and stakeholders from various sectors committed to promoting ethical leadership, good governance, and institutional excellence across Africa.
A major highlight of the summit will be the unveiling of the ILAD Global Leadership & Development Magazine, the institute’s flagship publication devoted to recognising excellence in leadership, governance, enterprise and public service across the continent.

According to the institute, the inaugural edition profiles distinguished personalities from business, traditional institutions, the judiciary, healthcare, engineering and public administration, whose careers demonstrate integrity, vision, service and outstanding accomplishments.

The event will also feature the induction of eminent Nigerians into the magazine’s African Leadership Hall of Fame, described by ILAD as its highest recognition for individuals whose leadership and contributions have produced exceptional and enduring impact on society.

The institute said the selection process took into consideration the nominees’ records of achievement, leadership influence, integrity, contribution to development and the lasting impact of their work.

Speaking ahead of the summit, the Director-General and Editor-in-Chief of ILAD Worldwide, Dr Baba Ransome Adamu, described the unveiling of the magazine and the Hall of Fame as a landmark development for the institute and the broader campaign for leadership development in Africa.

Adamu said the initiatives were designed to celebrate leaders whose achievements could inspire others while promoting a culture of ethical, accountable and impact-driven leadership across the continent.

He said, “The Magazine and the Hall of Fame were conceived to celebrate leaders whose achievements inspire others and to encourage a new culture of ethical, accountable and impact-driven leadership across the continent.”

ILAD Worldwide, also known as the Institute of Leadership Assessment and Development of Nigeria, is a pan-African professional leadership development and certification institution.

The institute focuses on raising standards of leadership, governance and institutional practice across Africa through training, professional certification, publishing and public recognition programmes.
