As the world gets ready to celebrate this year’s United Nations International Day Of Education, the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has concluded arrangements to honour the Nigeria Defence Academy NDA with a special recognition award which is aimed at appreciating the efforts of the foremost academy which has used education to promote peace and security in Nigeria and the African continent.
A statement from the International Spokesman and Chief Contact Person of the association Amb. Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke said it will be a disservice to the accomplishments of the institution not to recognise the efforts of the institution which has trained very brilliant officers that has made the Nigerian military proud as well as officers from other countries within the African sub region.
The statement commended the present Commandant of the academy describing him as a gentleman officer who has contributed to ensuring the institution continue to contribute significantly to achieving the goal of peace and security despite the security challenges facing the country.
The statement also indicated that the event will take place at the Academy’s auditorium while the World Peace President Amb Per Stafsen from the Kingdom of Denmark will be there to present the prestigious award.
