Investments And Securities Tribunal Seeks Collaboration With Rivers Govt

The Chairman, Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST), Hon. Amos I. Azi has sought a collaboration with the Rivers State Government to assist the IST to effectively carry out its adjudicatory functions within the South South region.

 

Azi’s desire for collaboration was sealed during a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo.

 

The chairman emphasised that the trust of the Tribunal is investor protection through an efficient market dispute resolution system.

He therefore called for increased support from the Rivers State government to provide an enabling environment for the Tribunal to boost its activities within the region.

 

Speaking earlier, Dr. Danagogo expressed his delight over the presence of the Chairman IST.

He pointed out the need for the capital market to effectively protect investors and enhance capital market integrity.
