It would be recalled that IPAC had made known its decision to back out of local government elections slated for February 22, 2024, in Osun State for alleged insincerity on the part of the chairman of the electoral body, Barrister Hashim Abioye,

But at a press briefing in Osogbo yesterday, Osun IPAC chairman, Pastor Victor Akande said after a fruitful deliberation with stakeholders in Osun state, the political parties that had earlier given notice of their withdrawal from the election will now participate.

Akande who was represented by his vice, said Osun Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) chairman, Barrister Hashim Abioye, has shown to have a listening ear and ready to work with the aggrieved political parties.

“We hereby wish to tell the good people of Osun that we are ready to participate in the election. We have submitted our letter of intention in conducting our parties’ primary election”, he said
