The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 results from the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that were earlier withheld over suspected examination malpractice.

The Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed the development on Thursday in a post on X, stating that the newly released results were part of an ongoing review of flagged examination cases.

Benjamin explained that the decision followed a thorough assessment of candidates whose results were initially withheld during the examination process.

He said while some candidates had their results cancelled after investigations confirmed malpractice, others were cleared after the board found no evidence of wrongdoing.

“While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates,” he stated.

He added that results from centres flagged by JAMB’s live monitoring system for suspicious activities, or those linked to adverse reports, would remain withheld pending further investigations.

According to him, any candidate found culpable after the review process would have their results cancelled.

The 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and 25 at accredited computer-based test centres nationwide.
