Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has promised to address the annual flooding and shortage of teachers in the state.

The governor spoke when he received the Emir of Dutse, Muhammad Na”Iim Nuhu Sanusi, who  paid him a salah homage at Government House in Dutse.

“We will also continue to collaborate with security agencies, traditional rulers, religious/community leaders and the general public in promoting peace, unity and progress in our dear state.

“We have been part of the immediate past state government and we have seen the efforts made in developing the state, therefore we are reiterating our promise to continue with all its good programs and projects as well as coming up with new ones according to the time and needs for  peace and prosperity of our state,” he said.

The emir of Dutse who conducted a Durbar  along with his chiefs and thousands of horse riders,  congratulated the governor and people of the emirate for the celebration.

He appealed to the governor to give more priority to problems in the state’s education sector, particularly the shortage of teachers encroachment of grazing reserves which contributes to farmers/herders clashes.
