Former Chelsea defender, Glen Johnson has advised his former club to go all out and sign Victor Osimhen next summer.
The Blues failed in their pursuit of the Nigeria international this summer.
The West London club were unable to meet up with Osimhen’s wage demands.
Osimhen instead opted to join Turkish Super Lig champions, Galatasaray, on a season-long loan deal.
Johnson insists Chelsea should try again for the powerful striker.
“Osimhen going on loan to Galatasaray was crazy. Considering that he is available, it would be crazy for Chelsea to not try and sign Victor Osimhen,” the 40-year-old was quoted by Chelsea News.
I’m Willing To Represent Super Eagles, Says Cercle Brugge Star
Cercle Brugge midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has expressed his desire to represent the Super Eagles if given the opportunity.
Born to a Ghanaian father and Nigerian mother, Agyekum holds dual nationality, presenting a unique opportunity in his football career.
However, in an interview with OGN, Agyekum stated that he has love for both countries but that once the chance to play Eagles comes, he will jump at it.
“My father is from Ghana, but my mother is Nigerian. I can play for both nations. That’s one part that people don’t know about me, and if the chance to play for the Super Eagles comes, I won’t say no,” Agyekum stated.
“I have love for both countries and want to see them do well. Not too good for Ghana in the AFCON qualifiers, but they are doing well in the World Cup qualifiers. For Nigeria, the reverse is the case. I follow both closely.”
