Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has disclosed that it’s up to Tyson Fury to challenge him for a potential fight in 2026.
Joshua and Fury are being lined up for a long-anticipated fight as part of Riyadh Season in 2026, with a September date in London penciled in.
No deal has been finalized, but there is growing confidence that a fight will take place, and both camps are working towards making it happen in 2026.
Recall that they had agreed to a massive two-fight deal in 2020, with the contests set to take place in 2021.
But the all-English affair was derailed when former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder won his arbitration for a trilogy with Fury.
However, reacting to the development, Joshua, in a chat with Reuters, stated that he’s always ready to fight Fury.
“It’s up to Fury. I’ve signed to fight him a number of times.
“I don’t want to get my hopes up and be let down again.”
