Senator Joy Emordi has emerged as the new Pro-Chancellor of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM).

Emordi took over from Senator Lanre Tejuoso, who was reassigned as Pro-Chancellor of Yakubu Gowon University.

This change followed the dissolution of the governing councils of several universities, including the University of Abuja and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

Senator Emordi, who previously served as the Pro-Chancellor of Alvan Ikoku University of Education, is a distinguished politician and educationist.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Geography Education from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1979), an LLB in Law (1985), and professional legal training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.

Senator Emordi’s impressive career spans various fields, including education, law, and public service.
