Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has reconstituted its management with the current managing director, Dr. Lars Richter, leaving for the chief executive director of Julius Berger International, Dr. Peer Lubasch, to step in.
In a statement signed by the company’s secretary, Mrs Cecilia Madueke, she said the decision for the change was taken at a meeting of the company’s board of directors on Wednesday.

She said the board accepted the resignation of Engr. Richter as director and managing director of the company at the expiration of his contract of employment on October 15, 2024, and Engr. Lubasch, in line with the succession plan for the executive management, was appointed as a director and managing director with effect from October 16.

In a short statement, Richter said the board at its meeting honoured his request not to extend his contract.

He said after six years of leading the company as chief executive officer he would return to Germany at the end of this year for personal reasons.

Richter’s journey with Julius Berger started in 2002 when he commenced his career as a young engineer in the Wiesbaden office of the company. By 2018, he rose to become the company’s managing director.
