The Northern Region of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria has officially opened registration for its highly anticipated 2025 Northern Conference, themed, “Daukaka Arewa”—a powerful Hausa phrase meaning “Elevate the North.” The conference will take place from 7 to 10 August 2025 at Davina Hotel and Resorts, Gwarinpa, Abuja.

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja, the executive vice presidents Adewale Oshinaike (North-East) and Ayodeji Akinwande (North-West) said the conference will focus on empowering young leaders with practical skills, strategic knowledge, and actionable tools to improve their communities.

They noted that the theme, “Elevate North: Empowering Leaders, Enhancing Communities,” reflects a renewed commitment to grassroots development through innovation, collaboration, and inclusive leadership.

Oshinaike emphasised the importance of regional unity and youth development in addressing Northern Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges. “This is more than a conference,” he said. “It’s a rallying point for transformational leadership across our communities.”

Akinwande added that the official conference logo—featuring Abuja’s City Gate alongside Aso Rock—symbolises strength, vision, and collective progress. “This year’s conference will empower participants to move beyond conversation and into meaningful action,” he said.

JCI Nigeria President Ambassador Oluwatoyin Atanda expressed strong support for the initiative, highlighting its alignment with the national ELV8 Agenda—Engagement, Leadership, and Values-driven impact achieved through eight flagship projects. “This conference is a bold step toward building a Northern region that thrives through service and leadership,” she said.

The four-day event will feature leadership training, entrepreneurship development, cultural exchange, panel discussions, and networking opportunities— all tailored to elevate young changemakers across the region. Notable attendees will include JCI Senators, national officers, alumni leaders, and partner organisations committed to nurturing young leaders and driving sustainable impact.
