Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering youth leadership amid Nigeria’s evolving socio-economic landscape.
This is even as the organisation launched its 2026 national agenda, tagged AMPLIFY – From Vision to Legacy, outlining a bold roadmap to transform youth leadership development and institutional sustainability across the country.
Speaking at a media parley in Lagos, JCI Nigeria National President, Akibode Abitogun, emphasised the organisation’s role in equipping young Nigerians with skills for effective governance and community impact.
He said, AMPLIFY represents a shift from aspiration to execution, stressing that the focus is on converting ideas into systems, leadership into legacy and impact into sustainable structures.
“The agenda is anchored on seven strategic pillars, including advancing leadership development, membership growth and engagement, partnerships, leadership continuity, innovation, financial sustainability and relevance to the next generation of young leaders.
According to him, the leadership development pillar will transform how leaders are developed, retained and empowered within JCI Nigeria, while innovation will modernise processes and deepen digital transformation to keep the organisation relevant.
Meanwhile, JCI Nigeria also announced the forthcoming Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Program, which is a global initiative that celebrates exceptional Nigerians aged 18 to 40 who have demonstrated leadership, innovation and service in their fields.
Chairman TOYP/IYD, JCI Nigeria, Chika Umeohana, said the programme is designed to spotlight positive role models and inspire national development, noting that TOYP aligns with the organisation’s mandate to promote merit, integrity and impact-driven leadership.
